CRICKET: AB DE VILLIERS CONFIRMS HIS IPL STINT WITH RCB NEXT YEAR
South African Legend and a world icon AB De Villiers has reaffirmed his intention of returning to the Indian Premier League next year. It’s the first in 2022 that devilliers is not playing in the IPL since its inception in 2008.For more IPL and Best Cricket news follow 99Runs
After last year’s IPL AB De Villiers announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is among three franchises that are yet to win an IPL season. Alongside RCB, Delhi Capitals and Punjab kings are there. AB De Villiers was a key player for RCB since 2011. Till 2021 he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. One can say if Virat Kohli is the life of RCB, AB De Villiers is the heart of the franchise. He proved his loyalty to RCB fans, management and team mates time and time again.

He began his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils where he spent three seasons. RCB recruited AB in 2011 and he went on to become the best player for the franchise as he spent 11 years with the same team.
During His amazing stint with RCB he appeared in 156 IPL matches and scored an astounding 4,491 runs including two memorable centuries and 37 blistering fifties. He was also inducted in RCB hall of fame alongside Christopher Henry Gayle.

Devilliers announcement comes only days after his counterpart and a great friend Virat Kohli announced his return to the IPL in whichever capacity the management would have him.

“I am delighted Virat has verified that” to be realistic we have not made up our minds; I will undoubtedly attend the IPL next year. I am not certain what position I’ll will be serving in but I am looking forward to returning, “ devilliers told VU sport.
